OPEN DAY A HUGE SUCCESS

Jonathan Gold

Hundreds of OAs returned to School on Saturday 17th May for OA Open Day.

The rain held off allowing the Headmaster's XI to record a narrow victory over Abingdon Alligators on Upper Field and OA crews took part in a regatta during The Afternoon at the Boathouse, an event specially organised to say farewell to Mike Martin after 18 years as Master in Charge of Rowing. The Annual Dinner was a sell out and over 170 attendees enjoyed hearing the Headmaster outlining the School's current successes and were entertained by the President, Jonathan Gold, reliving his school days. A full report and pictures will appear on this website shortly.

Auction of Boat Names

In conjunction with An Afternoon at the Boathouse on OA Open Day, the farewell to Mike Martin, an Auction of Boat Names was launched as part of Project 18. Three of the 18 boat names reached their reserve by OA Open Day and have therefore been withdrawn from the auction, leaving 15 boats still to be auctioned by the first day of Henley Royal Regatta, Wednesday 2 July.
